Hummus (pronounced mcdonalds careers officially as goemoes) is widely used in the Turkish and Moroccan cuisine. In the Netherlands, it is becoming more popular and more available in supermarkets. I let you in my video messages already see me even once found at Lidl. This variant, however, was too salty for me, other variants contain too much oil for my taste. I show you today how you can easily create self delicious hummus. It is not only delicious and used in many ways, but is also super healthy! Hummus is made from chickpeas, often mixed with sesame seeds. The chickpeas are high in protein and good fats sesame seeds. You will find that you like a sandwich mcdonalds careers with hummus long feel full. This is not the only way you can use hummus, I find it delicious as a dip for vegetables for example, on toast or crackers or for example as a supplement in my wrap.
Instead of sesame is used often sesame paste (tahini). This can get in the shop, but I do not see it often in the supermarket. Since sesame is more available, I used that. You would possibly can omit, but the taste is different.
Preparation Drain the chickpeas, save possibly some of the moisture to make the hummus later unctuous. Put the sesame seeds in a dry frying mcdonalds careers pan and roast until golden. Stay here with, otherwise they burn easily! mcdonalds careers
Press the garlic clove with the chickpeas. Many recipes are 2-3 cloves garlic used, I think this is too strong, you can judge this for yourself. Squeeze juice from half a lemon with it, make sure there are no seeds come along. Also add some cumin, thyme, salt and pepper. Original hummus recipe contains no thyme, but I love the taste and find it also be fun!
Put the toasted mcdonalds careers sesame seeds in a bowl or mortar with a little mcdonalds careers drizzle of olive oil and crush them. Do not have a mortar, use a spoon to crush the seeds. Or create a nepvijzel mcdonalds careers I like a beer bottle opener:-). The seeds do not quite fine, if they are a bit bruised, it is enough, they give more flavor than off. Put them in the mixture.
Then grab your blender there and mix it! All this can of course also in a food processor, but this saves cleaning. Make sure all the chickpeas are fine and that everything is mixed well together. If you want to have the hummus smoother, you can add some of the chickpea mcdonalds careers moisture. You can also use olive oil, but I like to be fat than it.
You can now use the hummus how you want it! I mentioned above suggestions. I used it this weekend on a cracker and as a dip with cucumber. I had well over that now stands nicely in the fridge.
Because there are no preservatives in it, the hummus does not stay very long time. Lemon juice prevents discoloration, but I recommend the hummus no more than to save a few days. Close it tightly in a tray, or push some cling film directly on the product, so no oxygen can get to.

I do actually only garlic, tahini, lemon juice and olive oil, and indeed for the convenience of a can. I will still try the cooked version. I use it as bread or cracker toppings, delicious!
